Noah’s ART Animal Therapy Outreach: Bringing Animal-Assisted Therapy to Schools and Care Settings Across Greater Manchester and Beyond

Mental health and emotional wellbeing are more important than ever, especially in schools and care environments where people face daily challenges. That’s where our popular therapeutic outreach services come in. Noah’s ART offers therapeutic outreach sessions that use the power of animal-assisted therapy to bring comfort, connection, and calm.

Therapy for Schools: Helping Pupils Thrive Emotionally and Socially

We work with schools and other education settings to help students manage stress, improve communication, and build emotional resilience. Our outreach services are flexible and tailored to meet the needs of pupils in mainstream and specialist education environments.

Visit types include:

Education Outreach Sessions – small group sessions using animals to support mental health and wellbeing. These uplifting, calming visits reduce stress and support engagement, particularly during exam season or transition periods.

Dog-Assisted Resilience & Communication Workshops – develop confidence and self-awareness in students through a structured, supportive programme.

Animal Welfare & Careers Education – a six-week course exploring animal welfare, mental health awareness, and careers involving animals.

Supporting Care Homes, Hospitals, and Community Groups

In care settings, the presence of animals has been shown to reduce loneliness, encourage communication, and boost emotional wellbeing. Noah’s ART offers one-hour sessions featuring a variety of animals—from our friendly dogs to gentle rabbits and guinea pigs, to interesting exotics —all accompanied by highly trained and experienced staff and volunteers.

Whether you're a care home manager, activity coordinator, or mental health service provider, Noah’s ART can bring meaningful and memorable experiences to your clients.
