Mark the date 17th July - a warm welcome awaits you on a Tuesday at the Paws and Paints Pop Inn in Dukinfield. It is the friendliest place to bring your pooch! You can enjoy sharing the
delights of dog ownership with people who may be unable to keep a pet. Spending time with
animals can bring such simple joy to others. And your canine companion can learn some new
skills too. Challenge your canine to master the dog toys that are available at The Pop Inn and let
our volunteers support you in their training. Enjoy a brew and try out our specialty cakes for all
dietary needs. On warmer days, we have plenty of outside spaces in a beautiful garden setting.
If dogs are not your passion, pop next door. Our volunteers will be pleased to tell you the “tails”
about our rescued rabbits and guinea pigs. They will introduce you to our happy ratties.
Throughout #TreatYourselfTuesday we will have different activities for you to try out; Toast &
Tails breakfast club; Singalongs and debut performances; animal inspired art & craft activities. Or you may enjoy a few moments trying out the peace in our sensory room.
We will also have taster sessions available including reflexology, reiki and “Mindful Paws”
sessions – we may eventually offer bunny yoga and animal supported exercise sessions. But
for our launch on the 17th July, try out some reiki - the offer extends to your dog too!
Help make The Pop Inn a unique family space supporting people with extra care needs so that
the whole family can spend quality together in our animal themed café!
So, the Pop Inn is all about animals and how they form a special supportive bond with us. It is a
safe space to meet others who love animals; to learn about animal welfare; to enjoy some lovely
homemade cakes; and to make new friends. Your visit to the Pop Inn is very special and allows
us to support our other therapeutic activities. Our Pop Inn volunteers have come from a variety
of backgrounds - all the volunteers have faced significant challenges; the Big Lottery funding we
have received ensures we can train them, provide them with lots of support and encourage
them to grow in confidence; each will gain food hygiene certificates, work experience of animal
welfare as well as catering skills. With the success of the Pop Inn, we can offer this experience
to many more people.
But that’s not all, any profits will go back into working with rescued rabbits and guinea pigs
supporting them to become therapy animals who bring joy to people in care homes or in
hospital. Any additional profits from the Pop Inn will also support a voucher scheme which will
allow us to offer reduced cost places at our #TherapyThursday sessions – making sessions
more accessible to those who would benefit.
Why not enjoy #TreatYourselfTuesday at Noah’s ART Paws and Paints Pop Inn!
