Canine Capers!

We would like to say a massive thank you to all our visitors to the Pop Inn on 17th July. We had a lively fun afternoon; getting to know our canine visitors was amusing. We had eight dogs Pop Inn at one point; Daisy, Tilly, Charlie, Moose, Alfie and Alfie plus two more! As you can imagine it was quite hectic as each pooch said hallo to new friends! But we are delighted to say there were no major problems and the afternoon was very enjoyable if a bit chaotic.

Our volunteers are doing really well and settling into their roles. They look very smart in their new t-shirts. They are showing initiative and a determination to make this project work! One of our teams went out amongst the local area to deliver leaflets to raise awareness of the Pop Inn. For the next month, we are pleased to offer visits at 50% reduction if you present with one of our vouchers on entry – (they can be collected at the entrance). At 20p per minute, the voucher offers you half an hour at the Pop Inn with all the brews and cake you can eat for just £3 or 60min for £6! Take advantage of our sensory room for some quiet time or make a greetings cards or get involved in some of our art projects!

Volunteer experience is very beneficial – its allows people to get experience so that can apply for paid employment. It helps our young volunteers to make important decisions about career and life choices. And we are raising money so we can deliver more NHS sessions for free as they are experiencing cutbacks. Imagine being in hospital following a mental health breakdown; a visiting dog, rat or rabbit can make you smile again and see the joy in life. We ask the local Dukinfield Community to get being the Pop Inn and support your young people to make a difference.

Every Tuesday – Paws & Paints Pop Inn – amazing homemade cakes – canine companions and supporting your local community! Hope to see you and your pooch very soon!!
